Ay there!

I'm a new member, a 21 yr. old male college student just diagnosed with Aspergers. So many things about my life finally make sense. "Wrong Planet" is such a fitting title because I can't remember the last time someone truly understood how I think and who I am... that's why I'm so excited about this site! It's still so surreal to me after so many years of being misunderstood to realize that, to an extent, there are actually other people out there who are like me... so I have a lot of questions! For those of you who are veterans, show me the ropes guys.

Again, I have so many questions, but I'll start off with one: In your experience, what are the best AS BOOKS that helped you (1) learn exactly what Aspergers is (2) learn about exercises/treatments/diets/ect. to stop/reduce undesired symptoms (3) learn how to thrive as a neurodivergent in a neurotypical world. It's been hard choosing any books to buy because there are so many out there and I'm sure some are great while others aren't all that helpful. Your recommendations would really be appreciated!

I'm more hopeful than ever. Solidarity is awesome.

Peace.

Welcome to Wrong Planet! :)

I'm 25, in college, and diagnosed with AS when I was 13. Send a PM to anyone you see fit.

Welcome to Wrong Planet ! :)

An excellent book is 'The Complete Guide to Asperger's Syndrome' by Tony Atwood, a practicing psychologist. As the title suggests, it's very comprehensive.

Enjoy your time here.
