i'm rose, i'm 18, and i was diagnosed at 13, then ignored it until recently, when autism became my special interest, so i'm not learning all i can about it. i have a lot of worries about joining this site, like, what if i'm not autistic enough? what if i use the wrong terminology? (because i'm on tumblr and the autism community there uses different terms to refer to things) is special interest a correct term? etc...

Don't worry if you are "not-autistic enough". Autism is a spectrum disorder,it is much more complicated than having it or not having it.

Your symptoms may not be severe or noticeable as other's, but you are still autistic.

lots of people use the term 'special interest", yeah.

i was going to reply to the post above you, but then i saw your signature is a quote from firefly and ??? i literally used to love firefly then i lost interest halfway through the season. but i did see the part with that quote. i didn't see the end of the season, when you-know-who died. but i know about it because of tumblr

You don't need to worry about those things, we're all very accepting. There is no such thing as being "autistic enough."
Tumblr does generally use correct terminology, but I could understand why you may be skeptical of that.
