Soooo, I'm not exactly sure how a forum works. I hope I'm doing this correctly.

I'm Kris. 29 years old from Arkansas :) I was recently diagnosed with Aspergers (misdiagnosed as ADHD in 3rd grade). I decided to get retested after 20 years because I was having a very difficult time with homework, social situations, etc. I began wondering if there might be something more going on than ADHD. I'm very happy I decided to do it. For the longest time I thought everyone dealt with the same issues, and I couldn't understand why everyone else could handle them so much better than I could. I'm now beginning to understand everything a bit better :) I'm hoping to find some friends here.

I have a Basset Hound named Finn. She is my biggest fan. Some of my favorite things are: drawing, learning about marine animals, watching stand up comedy, cooking awesome food, eating awesome food, walking, using microscopes, among other things. I'd really like to become a marine biologist, but my location puts a bit of a damper on that. I hope to find something else that sparks my interest along the way.

hi, krispybiscuit. welcome. i have a sweet cat (and a husband), so the cat is my second biggest fan.

i was a biology major in college. i agree with you that it's fascinating stuff. mu uncle was a forest expert for the government. if you can't move to the ocean, does the forest sound interesting? or agriculture?

i love to cook, but i'm very into healthy stuff, particularly the mediterranean diet. tonight we had jamaican jerk chicken for dinner.

Yea, cats are pretty cool. Those munchkin cats are the cutest things ever!

Biology is what I am thinking I may end up getting into. Did you find it difficult? I'm worried I would end up not understanding a lot of it. I think Botany would also be pretty awesome. Something in forestry would probably be interesting. What kind of things did your uncle do in his job?

I've been trying to eat better. My body is no longer as forgiving approaching 30. I found I can get pretty creative when I only have healthy stuff to use as ingredients. That sounds like it would be super tasty!

i didn't know my uncle well, so, sorry, don't know his job details. from having taken ecology, i imagine he surveyed plant and animal populations. he was an expert in the local flora.

biology generally wasn't overly hard. i did less well in the courses that required a lot of memorization such as organismic and better when understanding was key such as physiology and genetics.

Welcome to Wrong Planet! :)

Even though studies have higher priority for me, I will send you a PM within the next few days.
