Hi! I am a home school tutor for a 13 year old boy with autism. I believe he is on the 'severe' side as opposed to 'mild'. It is all very new to me. As he is not my child I haven't had those years of getting to know his habits etc. I had been finding it very rewarding and all going okay the first few weeks until last week we had a very bad week of shouting/aggression/tantrums. I feel overwhelmed of how to deal with this properly and effectively. We live in Shanghai (China). The boy is new to the city as he had only just move over to live with hid dad. So his dad is also on a learning curve like myself as to how we can deal with him without making him more upset in these situation.
Anyways I have been trying to find a forum or website in which I can find support and advice, does anyone have any suggestions. Or similarly any books/DVDs I can read/watch.
Thank you!! Lizzi

Welcome to WrongPlanet. We have a section for Parents, and that might have the best advice for you, if you post your message there.
