Hello, welcome to Wrong Planet! :) I'm sure you're not the only one who's bored on Thanksgiving. The site has been quite lively today.

Thanks for the welcomes! ^-^
I took the aspy test ~

Your neurodiverse (Aspie) score: 142 of 200
Your neurotypical (non-autistic) score: 77 of 200
You are very likely neurodiverse (Aspie)

I think I scored a bit differently this time around, ah well.
Most of my aspy traits I only know because a close friend made me aware of them.
Even though I'm an alien I think I blend in with the humans well enough (if I feel like it) :p

It's pretty normal to score differently every time. Last time I took the test I had something like 140 and 60.

What makes you nerdy and what anime shows do you like? :)

My nerdiness stems from a love of everything nerdy, really @.@
Especially video games, anime, logic, intellectual stuff, the internet, technology
I used to love the INTJ/INTP/ENTP debate forums as a kid..
but now I find debating annoying as most cannot use logic sufficiently

My favorite anime genre is shounen~
One Piece, Hunter x Hunter, Parasyte -the maxim-, No Game No Life,
Attack On Titan, Sword Art Online, One Punch Man, Death Note, Code Geass,
Naruto, Bleach, Full Metal Alchemist

What do you mean by that?

Do you know of/like Professor Layton? I wonder if you would like it.

Oh damn. I only watched like 3 of these. One Piece (watched on TV, I liked it but for some reason found it difficult to follow the plot :? ), Naruto (first season, the music was good). And Death Note, which I binge watched in 3 days or so, and I regret it, because it was very good. Should have given it more time to really absorb it.
What can you say about these 3? :)

I find logic to be the quintessential debate skill ^__^
I find most suck at using it, so there is no way to get through to them in a debate.
Usually these kinds of people argue using emotion / personal anecdote rather than fact,
and can never be swayed. In a proper debate, if someone's stance is more correct
than your own you should be able to recognize their logic and alter your stance
on the issue. However, I never noticed this sort of thing happening in debate forums,
so I grew bored of them.

All three of those anime are awesome ^__^ Of them, One Piece is my favorite by far.
Unfortunately a lot of people watched One Piece back in the day when it was dubbed and
ruined by a company called 4Kids. I think Funimation has a proper subbing of
One Piece on their website now (from Episode 1 to current I believe).
One Piece is an amazing anime philosophy and story-wise and only gets better the
longer you watch it.

I understand. Happened to me too a lot when I was in school, trying to have a proper debate. Just asked to be sure.
In my opinion, if the evidence is there, and irrefutable, insisting on one's viewpoint is ridiculous. Because... well, it shows there is no reasoning with such a person.

Haha, that sounds like you think I don't know of 4Kids. But I do, and what they have done to some anime is just sad. Beer --> Fruit juice, Laser guns --> Squirt guns, Death --> "Vanishing"... The list is sheer endless.
I mean, crying about alcohol censoring is maybe a bit nitpicky, but when important story elements get lost... not cool.
Do you like Pokemon?

Heh, you've made me realise that NerdyAnimeGirl shortened is NAG. Kind of amusing ~ though I try to limit my nagging behaviors I swear! XD Of those, which anime is your absolute favorite and why? I've only seen Fairy Tail, Naruto, and Pokémon.

Agreed!

It's unfortunate that Americans used to stigmatize anime as 'just for kids'. And 4Kids was a shining example of that mentality, ruining many good shows in the eyes of Americans by altering them to be 'kid friendly' and destroying any kind of artistic integrity in the plot.

As for Pokemon~
I was obsessed with Pokemon for a time in middle school. I had a bunch of cards (though was too shy to play the card game with anyone), Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal for Game Boy, Pokemon Snap for N64 and rented Pokemon Stadium from Blockbuster several times. I also dreamt of creating my own Pokemon-like card game and used photoshop to make my own prototype cards as a kid. I've since outgrown the series (the video games got too repetitive, and I find no joy watching the anime these days, sadly) but I still have fond memories. ^__^

I'm starting to feel uncomfortable with having conversation. It's becoming hard to create output and staying focused. Sorry, I'd like to wrap it up here, but it was fun. If you want, we can continue talking about these topics at another time. :)

Of the anime I mentioned, my most favorites are like you said, Fairy Tail, Naruto, and Pokémon. For Fairy Tail, it's pretty funny and at other times very deep or sad, and shows a pretty good example of family through friendship and fighting for what you believe in for those you care for. For Naruto, I'm pretty obsessed with ninjas and jutsus, but also the main character, Naruto, and I have a lot in common because we were left out from other people during childhood while other folks have issues we can relate to. For Pokémon, well, I've always liked Pokémon because it's really fun. Oh, and I also like Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicles and xxxHolic, if you've heard of them.
