Greetings and salutations, fellow aliens. I made this account a long time ago but honestly just never found the energy to post. But at one point, I was about to burst. I have been reaching out to other autistic people because I was so interested in their experiences, life hacks and coping mechanisms and it was liberating, but the chance did not present itself all too often.

I am in my early 20s, a selective mutist Aspie with avoidant personality disorder and schizoid traits and depression. Whew All those factors and personality disorders within my family made me really keen to learn about psychology and psychiatry. My interests range from political activism to music and the arts to sports and studies. That there is a word for the experiences I have had did not occur to me until I was 20. I hope that I will be welcome here, too and can talk some things off my chest.

Hi. I too have some avoidant and schizoid traits.
Since joining this site, my depression has improved tremendously, I hope the same will work for you as well.
