I am so happy to have found this forum! New person here.
Hello! I am so happy to have found this forum. I am diagnosed with Asperger's and OCD. The Asperger's didn't get detected until my twenties though, because I was so good at emulating others that often people never saw my quirks unless they were alone with me. I would obsess over things all the time, but people thought that was OCD. I literally had no filter for my obsessions, and I do have OCD on top of Asperger's, so my problems got written off as OCD by psychiatrists for a long time. A former partner who I lived with for four years used to mention he thought I had Asperger's, and he studied psychology in school, so that led me to seek a psychologist who took me more seriously and turns out I fall on the spectrum.
I knew something was wrong too when I started college. I thought maybe I had social anxiety, because I would literally turn off in class, be unable to make eye contact and speak up, and generally felt overloaded until I could find a quiet spot to read and study. I had a hard time remembering what I learned too and would have terrible performance anxiety on tests. My former partner helped me study and would ask me questions about what I just learned or studied, and I would remember just fine around him, probably because I felt relaxed and not overwhelmed by my environment. Sadly I didn't get the good grades I wanted due to this and I was angry at myself for a long time, because I couldn't meet standards that my peers were.
I still get sadness from time to time because most of my friends have accomplished more in life, and the few irl friends I have on the spectrum have found their niche so to say, and are doing outstanding. I understand the real problem is me comparing myself to them, but sadly I still feel that way from time to time, even if I tell myself stop comparing myself to others.
Then people ask what do you do? Well, right now I do reiki, and I do it very well on the clients I have. I also enjoy teaching yoga. But mainly I do reiki, and I do reiki real well. But I have problems when I meet skeptics and will do anything in their power to make theories and disprove reiki. While I am opening to hearing their theories and explanations because I find the theory in itself fascinating, it hurts my feelings when they act like what I'm doing is bogus.
Anyways I look forward to connecting with others here! Hope you are all doing well!

I love Final Fantasy! My previous avatar was a cute picture of Cloud and Tifa. Which game is your favourite? Do you have a favourite Pokemon game too?

Hmmm that's a tough question. I think I like 6 the best for the story, and my two favorite characters are Terra and Celes, then my favorite character to have in a party was Edgar because he had so many quirky machinist abilities. I also really enjoyed 9 for the music and attempt to have a more old school vibe to it. The art and character design was a bit over the top, which I appreciated it for! I haven't got a chance to try 14, and I had 12, but didn't get in to it much because I didn't have the time to commit to an MMORPG at the time. I am definitely looking forward to 15, I haven't been this excited over a Final Fantasy game in a while!
Which Final Fantasy game was your favorite, and which characters do you like best? Also what Pokemon game and Pokemon is your favorite?
I'm not sure which Pokemon game is my favorite, maybe Platinum or Alpha Sapphire. I do enjoy the original Red and Blue too. Gold and Silver as well. Hmmmm... My favorite Pokemon is Snivy though, I collect Snivy plush toys.

^Which character do you like best? For me it's either Terra or Celes or maybe Locke and Rachel.

Great, now Terra's Theme is stuck in my head. I like VII best, and VI is second with IX and X tied for third place.

I really like Terra and Celes. They're the reason 6 is - and probably always will be - my favorite game in the series.
*internet high five for same favorite characters*
My favorite female characters in FF games were always Terra, Celes, Tifa, and Faris from 5 (she has Leviathan ). I thought I was going to like Lightning but she was a bit ... abrasive. Although I haven't played 13 2 or her return game, so maybe she gets better.

Tifa is my favourite FF heroine [actually, she's my favourite video game heroine ever!] My special someone calls me Tifa sometimes.
I don't like Lightning. I'll stop before I rant about how ridiculous FFXIII and its sequels seem to me.

For some reason when I first started reading your posts, you reminded me of the girl from this one D&D joke video where the only girl walks in to play and she asks if she can play, and that her friends call her Tifa from FF7. I was thinking I bet someone calls her Tifa! I adore Tifa because she always kept the ball rolling for the character's to take action in their development, even if they acted like jerks at times.
My friends irl call me Terra ^^ I have a similar demeanor to her in-person. And I wish I had green hair...
