Hello, my name is Christopher Haley & I just joined the Wrongplanet.net community today. I was diagnosed with Aspergers over two months ago and have totally rededicated my life to doing something meaningful with it after feeling I had been in a state of desolation for a number of years. I just turned 39, reside in Cincinnati, Ohio, and work as a claims examiner for a local hospital consortium. In my years growing up I dreamnt of being a librarian, but my lack of skills at interviewing & stress factors which caused me to drop out of graduate school doomed that aspiration. Currently, I'm looking at trying to start a literary career with a memoir regarding my life with Aspergers "Sleepwalking Through Life". I actually wish to find a possible literary collaborator who is real good with dialogue, a definite weakness with my writing. I have actually coined my own term for a literary type I specialize in "Solititude" which means a poem or literary work which describes a feeling of isolation or being apart from others, ie the lone Romantic finding the love they long for unatainable, a quest for a Holy Grail which doesn't exist. I also have done genealogy rsearch on hundreds of years on my family history on all sides, & have much story material there. Also, I am probably the leading expert in the Cincinnati area on films from the Silent Era (1894-1929), my own collection contains over 275 such movies, favorites include titles featuring Mary Pickford & Louise Brooks. I also love British folk rock recordings (ie. Fairport Convention & Steeleye Span) & anything which features the mellotron, an early sampling keyboard made famous by Mike Pinder of the Moody Blues. I look forward to hearing from all. Have a great day!!
