Hello wrong planet gang !

I am a father of a daughter with severe autism. She is non-verbal at 13 ( uses ASL pretty well ), she is self injurious, anger outbursts, anxiety and a host of other issues. She is loves the outdoors and is a tomboy for sure. We look to network with others to vent or to share successes. She has been through many therapies and medications. Some herbal supplements have helped, like CBD oil extracts, Charlottes Web for awhile and now a different one. Valerian root and Melatonin as well.
Meds are very difficult to gauge as she can't tell us if she is having side effects from them, sadly they may even contribute to her conditions. Sorry, I am rambling. I look forward to contributing and learning a few things here.

My name is Ron Brandt

I'm an undiagnosed ASD male that is 58 years old. At the time that I was in school you had to be pretty obviously disabled with autism to get a diagnosis for autism. I definately had issues back then & was put into special education as I was somewhat slow learning certain types of things. Some things though I did well at but even those things I found difficult to put to good use due to cognitivefunction issues. The's made it difficult to find & hold jobs. It took 19 years from graduation to find consistent employment due to my ASD issues. I'very been working now for the last 19 years driving truck but I have other thing I would like to do that interest me far more.
