Hello guys,

My name is Masha and I'm autistic. I took the autism test and tested autistic. I am new to this and am not sure how to talk to my parents about this.

Welcome to WP! First of all, while the tests are helpful, they aren't conclusive, so I think you should seek a professional diagnosis. Second of all, pick a time when your parents aren't busy and sit down with them and talk to them about it. Good luck.

Welcome! As has been said, the online tests are more of a general guideline than anything. If you believe you may be autistic, write down why you believe this and have your reasons on hand when you talk to your folks. If you can, ask for their help in seeking a psychologist/therapist for an official diagnosis and treatment/coping options. :)

Being diagnosed autistic does not change who you are. It will probably change how you look at yourself more than how others see you.
As a father I can say they will probably be eager to help. They probably wont understand at first. My wife loves me and she tries very hard to understand me. After years she has probably gotten to understanding me 75-85% of the time.
It will be fine.
