Hi, everyone. I'm a 40 year old married mom with two kids.

A month and a half ago, I was taking an online quiz recommended by my therapist when the word "neurodiverse" came up.

A month ago, I had diagnostic testing done.

Right after Christmas, I found out I was aspie.

Everything changed. That's not exactly right. Rather, they were the same, but my whole life made a lot more sense. All this time, I'd gone through life feeling like I'd missed some sort of mandatory class on how to be normal, and I was irredeemably screwed up and couldn't ever catch up

This is my first foray into the autistic community. Thank you for being here.

Hi, thanks for the responses.

I like to read, especially fantasy, sci-fi, and true crime. I do handicrafts like crochet, knitting (loom and needle), weaving, etc. Computers, obviously. Role-playing games like D&D. I like movies - anything Marvel, martial arts, sci-fi - and some TV shows - Sherlock, Hannibal, Star Trek (TOS and DS9).
