Hello, my name is Simon. I just turned fifteen a few days ago, and I was assessed for autism in December and diagnosed with level 1 autism about a week ago. My favourite thing is Lord of the Flies, and my favourite character is Simon. I spend most of my spare time working on my blog about Lord of the Flies. I also really like my cat, he is ten months old. I have joined this site to try and make some friends, and get advice on how to deal with situations I find stressful. Thank you for reading, I hope this was OK.

Well, I read it when I was twelve, and the book is really important to me because my whole life I always felt there's something wrong with me and I didn't understand why people hated me so much. When I read Lord of the Flies it helped me understand why people behave the way they do, and that the beast inside myself is present in everyone. I really like Simon, because he finds it hard to communicate and likes to go off on his own, and he also realizes the beast is inside himself.

Well, people don't talk to me a lot, even when I talk to them, so I guess that makes me think they hate me. I have a tuxedo cat named Percy. :-) Thank you all for your replies.
