I have been trying to post a response to normally confused but I keep going in a circle. I hit post, then I have to prove I'm human, then I get a reply box, I type, hit submit, have to prove I'm human, then get the blank reply box again. Is anyone else going in circles? I thought I'd see what would happen if I just started a new post.

I took out the smiley icons and then it worked

it happens. does it happen more often when you try to make a post with a quote in it? that is how i experience it.

we have a pretty significant spam problem, these programs/bots never quote anybody so they tend to slip by. but i feel like if we had no captchas, it would be even worse.

sorry for the inconvenience, i've lost many a post/PM with that too. i suggest copy/pasting your post somewhere else before you hit submit in case it is lost by the captcha, or using the lazarus extension if you use chrome.

sounds like a problem from the old version of the site has resurfaced. :o

"couldn't get smilies data", something like that.

it takes a minute for the page to fully load, I wonder how much of that is W10's fault?

I have experienced the described issue when using quotes. The quote survives the robot security, but the content that I authored doesn't. I get around the problem by copying the entire post, then editing the incomplete post and pasting the full post in over the top. :/

Quoting myself to test Lazarus https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/lazarus-form-recovery/.

Default settings within Lazarus does not yield success at my end.
