Good day,

I recently came across this forum as a result of researching myself quite some more. In light of having been assigned yet another therapist, I feel as if my Asperger-related oddities surface more often than I would like them to, and quite frankly have I been searching for people to relate to after being spat out on a numerous amount of other forums (those that weren't specifically targeted at developmental disorders) for acting out of place among peers.

At my current age of twenty-two have I finally been officially diagnosed with Asperger by a certified therapist. However, ever since my adolescence and further development into my teens, my family and I have noticed strong differences in me opposed to how NT children behaved. I have been seeing psychologists since my eight lifeyear, however nothing definitive was ever discovered (principally due to having been assigned the wrong kind of psychologists, the kind that discloses false information or holds the correct information back). As you can imagine, highschool was a nightmare. I couldn't make any contact, and the few friends that transferred over with me from elementary school would quickly fit in and leave me behind. I finished highschool in eight years instead of the usual five here, and since then I have felt enclosed by walls. I have not found the methods yet to move forward and haven't enrolled in college due to severe depression and anxiety. I cannot hold jobs for longer than a few months even if I manage to get hired, which rarely happens.

My general hobbies are playing videogames, watching television series and movies, writing, and perhaps my greatest interest lies in music — preferably heavy metal and anything of the sort, my favourite band being KISS. I also am immersed in anything Japanese and am an avid follower of the Visual Kei scene there.

I sincerely hope that I can perhaps find some comfort on this forum and discover apt techniques to put myself out there a tad more often.
