Hello,

I am a late diagnosed female Aspie in my late 40's, diagnosed about 3 weeks ago, though I always new there was something special :o about me. Have dealt with lots of anxiety throughout my life, some depression, which is now just "my normal" mood, been in and out of many relationships, divorced and now no partner or friends, at all...which makes sense and also does not make it easier to deal with, in all honesty.

I am more of the creative Aspie, not a technology fan and my hobby is photography, reading, art, hiking. I    animals, especially dogs; they make the best friends and companions. Not really sure what else to say about myself as I don't feel there's much more to say...or the complete opposite...I'd never stop writing and continue to bore people.

It's good to be here.

Hello, welcome to the forum!

It's definitely helped me understand my condition better, I hope it helps you too.

Welcome to WP Laspie - you sound like a female version of me. When I am in the mountains with my collie, I am freed of all labels, category & perceived imperfection - ergo, I am cured, if only for a moment. Hope you find good friends & support here & welcome.

Hi Laspie,
I was 58 years old when diagnosed. It has helped me, getting a formal diagnosis because this is not another 'false dawn'. I think this site has helped me as well. I can bore for England on the right subjects...probably we all can! All the best!

Hi Laspie, Welcome! We have much in common: being dx as an adult, loving hiking, photography, and having dogs as my best friends. I also have constant low level depression. I also could write non stop. You are in good company here. Glad to have you aboard.

Laspie, welcome :)

I'm also rookie here, just arrived, and I can tell you I saw here more logic and honesty than, well, I don't know, since ever?

So looks like we are in good company here.

Do you have a dog? If you do it will be nice to hear more about :)
