Heya, new member here, found a link here on Wikipedia (researching Aspergers) and joined. Didn't actually realise that there were communities for Aspies :p

Been diagnosed with Aspergers a while back, and currently in Y11 (GCSEs upcoming, eep) and hoping to go on to 6th form at the same school. Do a lot of stuff with computers, from image manipulation to .bat file programming to HTML. On a fair amount of forums, and Myspace (hey, these days who isn't?)

From NE England as my profile undoubtedly says, where I tend to keep the aspergers quiet; told a few people, close friends who I can trust to keep it quiet and my girlfriend - three months in a week :)

Sooo, hi all, hope to enjoy myself here :)

What an amazing coincidence :p

Mind, the joys of drama are many and varied... not least the fact that I now have one less exam.

I know I should remember, but I'm drawing a blank. What are GCSEs?

From what I heard, they're the equivalent of a senior high school diploma
(GCSE=General Certificate of Secondary Education). Whether or not a GCSE
allows you to get into a university or college is another question--one I'll leave
for someone actually from England.
