Hello, my name is Sarah and I was recently diagnosed with high functioning autism for a lack of a better term. I am 24 and I live in florida. Unfortunately all the resources I have found here are for children. If you just want to say hello feel free to respond.

I also made a post about needing more coping strategies, I know very few strategies of how to handle sensory issues before they become a sensory overload or what to do when I'm experiencing sensory overload. Feel free to message me or comment on this thread.

Thank you. Nice to meet you all!

Welcome to the spectrum, be it good or bad.

Most resources and help are focused towards children and younger people. As an adult you are S.O.L. and have to take care of yourself. Society seem to think that autism goes away with time...

Only thing i was offered (Living in Sweden) as an adult was Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and free dental care - and only one of those were helpful.

I still have problems socialising, have problems finding time and energy to do chores at home because my job exhausts me, but at least my teeth are good...
