Hi all! I'm 35 years old and am recently aware that I've been an Aspie my entire life. It's a relief to know behaviors that people find strange about me are typical for our group.
I'm married, have two small kids, and have a good job. I'm lucky that my main interest was computers and technology growing up: I fondly recall teaching myself how to program all night from a huge tome on a case-less, shoddy machine I assembled from cheap parts... all before using the internet.
I've gone through a patch of video gaming and recently gave that up. While theorycrafting and spreadsheets are fun (yay Eve Online), my health and relationships are suffering. I'm also not a big fan of the often cruel community in gaming, typically opting to play MMOs alone.
In the void, I've been dabbling in evolutionary biology and psychology. I came across some information about Asperger's. Took the Asperger's Adult Assessment (AAA) test and scored high, and felt like the questions were really me.
Well, now I'm home, so hi!
