Hello fellow Wrong Planetians

My name is Garnettoi71 and I've just signed up for Wrong Planet after lurking on one of the threads about independent aspies. Ask me anything :)

OK, was there something about that thread in particular that made you ready to jump in? What are your interests?

Yes, as an independent Asperger myself I was curious if there were any others like myself

I'm an amateur geologist; I like to travel to sites around the UK to dig up fossils and collect rock samples :)

How about you?

I like browsing the Internet and writing and thinking about my "imaginary worlds".

I like to travel around the UK, too, but I don't know when the next time I'll get the chance, since I'm from the states ;) . My major interest for quite a while was Virginia Woolf, and, to a lesser degree, Dylan Thomas. My son, who is also on the spectrum is the one really interested in rocks. Where are some of the best places in the UK for rock hounding?

Oh sweet, there seems to be a lot of Americans on here, which state? You will probably think now is a good time to come to the UK what with all the business about Brexit and the pound tanking

As for rocks, the geology of the British isles is very diverse, ranging from mostly sedimentary in the south to igneous and metamorphic in the north, especially Scotland. What are you looking for in particular?
