I just joined today and I guess I should post here first so that's what I'm doing. I'm a 15 year old male teenager that has Asperger's Syndrome and I don't really know what else to say. You can call me Nathan or Brownie or TheBrownienator I don't really care.

I try. We try. Do anything cool? I somehow agreed to shopping for 4 hours when I'm noise sensitive and it's Tax Break day.

I don't know if this is the right place to be asking this but since you mentioned it is it common to be noise sensitive when you have Asperges because I'm noise sensitive too.

There are some forums to discuss it. But yes, it tends to be pretty common. I hate crowds but I'm especially sensitive if I'm already uncomfortable and don't see myself gaining anything by enduring the noise.

OP, being that you're noise-sensitive, what do you think of deep bass?

If it's a part of music, it depends on whether I'm interested in listening at the moment. If it's played at random intervals, I get antsy. If it's a played at a constant interval, I get a headache.

I mostly have trouble at large events when there are way too many people making way too much noise. I've also had trouble in school for example the time I stayed after for two teachers and after I finished the work with the first teacher I went to the second teacher's class. They had other students working on some huge project that involved drawing and painting so they were playing loud music which prevented me from entering the class and doing what I needed to do.

I don't listen to many songs with deep bass but from what I've heard I'm not a huge fan.

what do you think of the deep bass that comes from pipe organs like the ones in churches or Pizza & Pipes places?
and I grok the large event stress, because attending the largest state fair, can tax me after a few hours to where when I get home i'll fall right asleep.

@Nathan
With deep bass? I didn't know that people played that type of music loudly in school. This is written under the assumption that deep bass is usually associated with emotional or sensual music with what I'm familiar with. Are you shy too? You can ask them to turn it down.

@ Auntblabby
That only happens for me in the case that I enjoyed myself.

I don't go to church a whole lot but from the times that I've been in churches the bass always ends up hurting my ears but my parents won't let me cover my ears which is one of the reasons that I don't go to church.

AFAIC your parents ought to let you protect your ears. I don't blame you for refusing any further attendance.

Ugh! I can sympathize. It got bad enough that I stopped going altogether too. There are some quieter churches but they tend to be harder to find because everyone wants to be moved by the spirit and for some reason that equates to noise.

@Desmil when I was talking about school it was loud rock and roll music and I couldn't enter the class because I probably wouldn't have reached the teacher before I would start to cry and have trouble speaking. I'm shy when it comes to people I don't know well.
