I have a similar story.
Upon finding out my condition, I tried to disclose it to my employers over a year ago. Since then, the working conditions got harder and harder, to the point I had to walk out. I read about workforce bullying, and it described my job literally up and down, and still there were few there who believed me. Said it was all in my head.
As a result, I had to walk out, cancel my lease, lose my apartment that I loved more than anything, and flee the city all together when people at my church started doing the very same thing. My story is like an unpaid bill hanging around the state of Alabama, still documenting, still finding like minds who were treated the same.
And yet, the employers still turn a cold shoulder like they always did.
Hiring an autistic is seen as too much legality. So I can't even put it on my application.
I would seek disability, except I'm told that I cannot work if I do that. And disability would not be nearly enough to pay for my own place. So I am living in my mother's storage room.
