I've been lurking on here for hours trying to convince myself to make a post. I always have a hard time with that.

This probably won't be very long since I'm in the middle of a shutdown right now and I have no idea where to post questions and such about that kind of thing. (I get really anxious about posting in the wrong forum and it's difficult for me to tell which one is the right one for certain things sometimes)

Anyway my name is Amanda, I'm 21, in America, and as of right now I'm self-diagnosed (I've been working on that one for over a year though, doing the research and taking the tests) because I have no idea how to go about talking to a doctor about getting a diagnosis since I have no family in-state to help me out with the childhood portion and I'm pretty sure my parents would just say I'm depressed or attention seeking.

All that being said, I'm always up for a chat or a pm
