Hi everyone, my name is Amy and I'm 27, recently diagnosed as being on the autism spectrum. It's something myself and friends and family have wondered for a few years but only recently got taken seriously by my psychiatrist (I have other mental health problems).

I'm currently in hospital and was here when I got the diagnosis so it hasn't really sunk in yet, I'm not sure what to make of it.

Anyway, hello.

Welcome along from another newbie. It must be good to get a diagnosis even if it's confusing at first.

Greetings Amy

I was just diagnosed about two months ago.

Having the diagnosis has helped me immensely.

It gives me a framework understanding how I interact with the world, where I struggle (people/society/emotionally based decisions) and where I excel (data/science/technical/natural world); how to use my strengths better and how minimize my weaknesses.

:)
