Unlike some, I've not properly lurked on here much. I've had an account for a while, but finally sat down and decided to post here tonight. As usual, the words just don't flow. They never do in real life in an unfamiliar environment.
That's what brings me here. In person, things are awkward, but not all the time. At work, or on the CB, or on ham radio, talking to new people is almost second nature. In the wild (at the grocer, at a bar, or most anywhere else), talking to somebody new is one step away from sorcery to me. Even in electronic media, meeting new people seems to be unnatural and strange. That said, I came here to hopefully unravel some of that mystery and make the acquaintance of folks who likewise experience this awkwardness.
