I was wondering if anyone out there understands how IQ is now measured.
I know that during the ASC diagnosis, i was evaluated on several different areas but not sure if
any of these were really aimed at IQ but more to do with ASC type problems.

I also know that the way that IQ is measured has changed considerably and have read in Tony Attwood's book on Asperger's that psychologists are now recognising different types of intelligence.
So a person may have a high IQ in one area but deficits in other areas.

Einstein I guess would be a good example of this. Genius in one area, but not so good with people. If the legends about him were true.

When I was being diagnosed they only gave me one IQ test, which was the Ravens Progressive Matrices. I was told the score is my "IQ." The Ravens is a non-verbal test that people with autism and aspergers score high on compared to people without.
