I’ve been browsing this forum sparingly during the last couple of years, mainly to find information about Asperger syndrome and to attempt to explain my difficulty in creating social relations throughout my life. During my adolescence, I have had or none, or few friends and some health problems that forced me to be home-schooled, while during the last few years instead, I have managed to somewhat understand the underlying mechanisms of social relations and to have a small circle of friends.
Regardless of this, I have rarely met people that would appreciate deep conversations as I do, and even less who shared my interests; in these occasions I have not felt the slight uneasiness that I usually feel during social events, similar to that of an actor who, although confident of knowing his part, is generally uncomfortable with his occupation.
Like many people on the forum, I’ve got my share of interests: I appreciate classical music, Satie and Liszt in particular, surrealist art and literature, European mostly. I’ve had a period during my youth when I read a fair share of history and philosophy books as well.
My more academic interests are physics, electronics and programming and I hope to have a career in artificial intelligence or circuit design.
As I wrote in my title, I hope to get to know some interesting people here and make some friendships, so please don’t hesitate to answer.
