Hello everyone, My name is Ariel. I'm 22 and I live in Chile. I prefer to talk in here, because the international forum is a bit empty (my native language is Spanish)
I've not been officially diagnosed with AS, because my psychiatrist refuses to do so: she says I'm too old and they should have done it when I was about 4 or 5, when the symptoms are more visible. However, when I told her how my childhood was, she said is “very likely” that I “was” an “Asperger Child” (no comments, right?) Ah, to hell with psychiatrists, I've analized myself and practically everything fits with the aspie profile. Eventually in the future I'd go to another institutions. Thank God and my parents I've been able to deal with many of my so-called lack of skills: I've worked as a sales promoter, I practiced Aikido a few years ago, and I'm currently on my second year of Pharmacy in Universidad Católica de Chile; previously I made two years of Engineering, but I dropped it (yes, engineering maths and I are a big mismatch. My stuff is chemistry).
Before I start to bore you all, just want to say that is good to have found this place, and I really hope to get along with many of you (you can never like everyone after all so I won't force anybody to like me), we'll see as we talk. Thank you all and talk you later...
Ariel
