I would hereby like to introduce myself as a part of the forum conventions. I recently immigrated to the US from Europe and i am now residing in the beautiful midwest of the country for the time being.
I registered on here, again, in order to share my experiences of what being on the spectrum and having to go through the immigration process, the actual move, the language differences, and the cultural peculiarities is like. Of course, that is not the only reason for me to join.
As already mentioned, i was a member on here about one year ago, but i had to stop being on here, due to the mere amount of work that needed to be done to ensure a positive outcome in the immigration process and i therefore lost track of my life in general. I totally underestimated the paperwork and it opened wounds from my past back up that i thought had healed already. I was in a constant state of panic up until a few days ago and couldn't possibly be a part of this magnificent platform.
I am grateful for all the people on here who give so many misunderstood individuals a home, hope, and some clarity. As long as this site exists, we can be sure that we don't have to feel alone, even when our own parents cannot or don't want to understand us.
