I voted "a bit" surprised, but really, that's not true. At first I thought you might be suffering depression, but your mother convinced me that you did, indeed, have aspergers. How do you feel about that?

I'm not at all surprised because you are so clever!

In fact when you were first born you didn't sleep for 24 hours - you lay there looking all around you and were so alert. Even then I knew you were extremely smart!

Your first daycare teacher told me that you were 'extremely cognitive' at the end of your first day.

All the helper Mums at school tell me how bright you are and how you learn things quicker than the other kids.

Your grade 1 and 3 teacher said you'll be able to do whatever you want to do because you're so smart.

So it's no surpise at all!

Did I mention that you're also extremely handsome and I LOVE YOU! :heart: :heart:

How did you find out you had Aspergers?

Were you diagnosed?


I can't rely on the profiles because I know they mess up. Some keep changing to Have Aspergers-Diagnosed even though the person isn't really diagnosed.

AussieBoy was diagnosed at Minds and Hearts (Tony Attwood's clinic). He had 2 psychologists at the assessment.

AussieBoy has a little brother, UbbyUbbyUbby also diagnosed with Asperger's.

Psychiatrist told me after I told him about how I feel sometimes, and my habits fit all the different things, tapping, I don't smile or show emotion alot, but the feelings inside just match

Congratulations! My boys felt much better once they had their diagnosis as well.

I thought so from your posts, I understood you.

I see it like radio, tune the dial till you find your wave length. WP was like that for me, suddenly I understood other people, well, at least some of them.

Knowing is better. The world has a problem with trying to make things fit, it is the only way they can understand. Just because they do not understand, they think others should change.

Aspurger's is a reason they can understand, so you can spend your time using your skills, developing your brain, and growing up to be someone who can make the world a better place for all.

Being smart comes in useful sometimes, being kind and understanding to others works every day.
