So I was just recently diagnosed at 31. When I was very young I was diagnosed with ADD and it was suggested I get tested for autism but never did. I finally decided to bite the bullet and go see a specialist about it, did the test and was diagnosed with Aspergers (although specialist said they are starting to move away from that term?)
To be honest I was kind of bummed about the diagnoses at first, but in a way kind of relieved that there was an explanation for some of my behavior and difficulties (I always assumed I was just weird). So I decided to try to learn as much as I can about the condition and interact with others who have it. I came across this forum and it kind of spoke to me because I always felt like an alien, especially when it came to social interactions.
I'm 31, I work as a videographer/video editor up here in Canada. Big fan of hockey, boxing and MMA. Looking forward to hopefully getting to know you guys!
