Yeah, it's not really that easy to start my own topic here. I'm pretty much new here and it's actually my first time doing this.
So, i'm sorry if my english spelling is not all that great. I'm european portuguese, so keep in mind with that.
So, with that said, time for my introduction:
I am José Diogo Da Silva Gomes, i am a 22 year old and i've been diagnosed with asperger's syndrome at the age of 3. I never knew what was it until i was somewhere around 16-18 years old. It's only this year i've joined to maybe meet and know a few people around here. I may be very busy with my part-time job and i even might have no time, but when i do, i might be fine to feel welcome and chat with you guys about certain hobbies and maybe learn a bit about this disorder i have.
Anyway, how can i describe myself? I guess i'll start by saying that i'm usually a shy and nervous guy who wants to simply have a good time with people and just have a calm and fine day. Whether i'm at work or at home.
I get usually nervous, irritated and frustrated with people that either try to poke fun at me or simply yell at me over things that i did nothing wrong and expect me to yell at them. With my boss being an exception, I cannot stand of mean-spirited people, especially my stupid aunt. Which is why i'm usually silent and only speak to people who are calm, cool and down-to-earth.
Despite how difficult for me to get used to it, the one thing i'm very open-minded about is of course my personal favourite hobbies.
As you can pretty much see, i'm am a huge anime lover , It is so far my biggest interest for years now. i've grew up watching many of theses anime shows that i've saw as a child. Growing up with Canal Panda that used to air animes like the Digimon animes, Sailor Moon, Ojamajo Doremi, Cardcaptor Sakura and Doraemon, to moving on to SIC Radical where i got into Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto and Death Note, to watching others types of animes that i've found around thoses two and others channels like BIGGS and Animax, some are popular like Inuyasha and Bleach, while the others are really obscures like Kochikame, Super Gals, The Law of Ueki, etc.
Ever since 2017, i started to watch more animes that i've been missing through out the years due to not having any free time. But now that i know when to, i've been able to watch a bunch of theses shows that i've been missing like JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, My Hero Academia, Re:Zero, Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Gurren Lagann, No Game no Life, etc.
I would love to list the animes that i've seen, but that would take up a lot of time for me to write down. So i'll let theses animes that i've mentioned as exemples. I'll eventually list them all later on.
Obviously, i'm pretty sure there are still some that i still haven't gotten into. So just in case you got some pretty good anime recommendations that i've haven't seen, let me know. Usually i'm into Mahou Shojo animes, Shonen animes maybe comedy animes. But still, it doesn't matter what genre it is, i will eventually give them a shot and see for myself what i think about them. After all, i'm pretty much open minded for them.
Of course, Anime is not the only thing i love, i also like watching Movies, playing vídeo games and eventually watch cartoons from time to time.
For movies, i love watching pretty much anything. Whether it's an animated films like the ones from Disney, action films like Robocop and Terminator, Horror films like Friday The 13rd and Nightmare on Elm Street, etc. In fact, i loved watching movies so much, that i actually did marathons on some franchises, like the Rocky movies, Harry Potter movies and even the original trilogy of Star Wars. I guess i went too far. ^^
I also play vídeo games, too. Usually i'm a Playstation guy, since it's my most prefered console out of all of them.
Right now i own the PS3, but i have played a lot of older games from NES to Sega Megadrive to Sony PS1 to the GBA.
I still own a lot of PS2 games, but i'm still wanting to get another PS2 to play them again.I will say that the FPS games and sports games are the only types of games that i don't like. Despite being there some exceptions, they pretty much plays the same and they are kinda boring to me.
As for cartoons, i grew up watching cartoons, as well. I used to watch alot of Cartoon Network as kid, due to being the only other kids channel i had back then besides Canal Panda. Disney Channel and Nickelodeon did came to Portugal, but i never had the cables network for thoses two. And when i did got them years later. There was too many teen live-action shows than cartoons in there, and honestly i don't watch Teen sitcoms. I would love to try out a few more cartoons that i'm probably missing, like for exemple, Star VS the Forces of Evil. Looks pretty cool since i'm a guy that loves Magical girls animes and shonen animes. ^^
Geez, that was too much. That's pretty much all you need to know about me. I am pretty pleased to meet a lot of you guys. ^^
