Dear lifeforms on this Wrong Planet ,

I am the Lone Loyal Wolf and like my name implies, I am a loner, very loyal and a Wolf at heart.

Diagnosed at age 6 with Aspergers but the doctors kept it from me until age 23 when it was pretty late. When I moved to another city I got told out of nowhere by my new doctor that I had autism and it was like being hit by a pile of bricks. Everything started to make sense, why I was always different. Find it insane how they did that to me, it would have been so much better if I'd had known it from childhood. The reasoning behind it is also a mystery, maybe because they thought I would grow over it, maybe adjust myself better, who knows. They did not have much knowledge about autism, that's for sure...

My life has been full of mental abuse, violence, humiliation and betrayal. It made me into the Wolf I am today. From timid and silent to having to learn to defend myself and fight back.

My personality is very loyal, trustworthy, goodhearted, protective, empathic, supportive, honest, open-minded, good sense of humor and respectful.

Most only name the good, I also of course have bad traits: Pride, stubborn, talk/write too much, hopeless romantic, dominant (not bossy, just like to be clear but am always respectful and a gentleman), trust issues, need alone time and dark.

Am always there in the hour of need and see everyone as my equal, never judge but respect people with problems instead of alienating them for it. Have always been different and have because of my tough past some mental problems which I find hard to talk about. People often don't want to deal with that and being confronted with that, it makes you feel worthless. Am a good guy with a lot of love to give and have been used a lot for my qualities and as a free therapist and that has left quite the scars. Give and take, one-sided friendships are a no go.

Been looking for contacts online and in real life but it's hard finding that "click" and trustworthy people. Never even met someone with autism in my area. Hope to find some nice people to talk with here.

Indeed, I never heard anyone share a similar story. And seeing I had other physical problems, there were many doctors that kept silent which amazed me and my mother.

There are others on this forum who were diagnosed when they were children but didn't find out until adulthood.

Thanks for telling me. What a sad thing though. Always feeling different, awkward, not belonging and that puzzle piece always being kept in a file, a secret from you

Also have the problem that my later developed mental problems causes a conflict so finding help is almost impossible, they all say I have co-morbid problems and they can't deal with that. One is specialized in autism and the other in normal psychiatric problems but never both. Or treatment just doesn't work on my kind. You would think complex problems would get priority but I hear from more people like me that they just get sent home without a solution.

If I had known sooner, maybe more could have been done and a lot of problems could have been prevented as well.

But alas, enough dwelling on the past, what's done is done.

That's sad how people can just take advantage of you im sorry to hear that and i think doctors should be honest and not hide things away like im diagnosed with HFA/Aspergers' syndrome but even tho i was in a class that was like smaller 12 kids but it wasn't like specialised in social problems n such until 6 grade only end of 7 grade im in a class for social problems but even tho i did well learning my social wasn't as good /
