As usual I have done all the wrong things to start off in this new place WP. Firstly my username. I read, having signed up, that I should not use a username that is linked back to the IRL me. Hmm too late. Wish I could change it. Can it be changed? Or should I ditch this account and make another one?
Second, posted a quite personal post and then found there was a members only section which would have been way more appropriate. Can this be moved? How would I go about that?
Pretty par for the course for me. Jump in boots and all only to find that boots are a banned clothing item.

Sure. Post in the Moderators Attention Thread and ask, and they'll kindly move your thread. Put a link to the thread in your post there and they'll love you for it 
Don't worry about the username unless you're concerned about being recognized - anyone who knows me well IRL will recognize me here if they read enough of what I write, and I suspect that's true for most of us.
