Hello from a mom with a son with autism

Hello,I am mom of a 5 year old son with autism,he was diagnosed with this 2 years ago.It was my husband at first knowing something was not right with him and then it was me.My husband and I are doing great with this now knowing what was wrong with him.We are raising him right and love him still.As a family,doing great even with my 2 daughters from a previous relationship.All started with my oldest daughter touched him on his left arm and he didn't like it.Included not wanting to be with other kids.His pediatrician said it was out of his hands and did get a referral to a specialist for a second opinion.So far,our son is doing well and the specialist he sees is amazed he has improved.

Thanks and the school he goes to knows he has autism,they take care of the situation if anything happens.One was a classmate picked on him,my husband and I were relieved the principal took care of it right.

Thanks,once again.He does have a therapist come by using animal therapy once a week too.This therapist works with kids that have autism and disabilities,she has a therapy dog and this has helped him with his social skills a lot
