Hi all.
I am a diagnosed Aspie. The diagnosis was fairly recent but my Aspergers has, apparently, been blatantly obvious to my friends for years and years. I only started to suspect it myself around 6 or so years ago. I certainly knew that I was different from most people in some way from the start.
It was a very late diagnosis but when it came I breathed a little sigh of relief. Nothing's changed but it's like I can stop worrying what "it might be" now...
It certainly explains so much. It's like so many things have now fallen into place and the more I learn about Aspergers, the more I understand about myself, my past and, in particular, my childhood.
After many problems, worries and bouts of depression I am finally coming to terms with myself.
I no longer try to hide my stimming (which I still do), too.
So, yeah... Hi all! :D

Hello and welcome. I'm glad you're able to understand yourself better. I personally find being able to categorise myself quite helpful.

Wow! Was it really that long ago that I first joined?
I had intended to be a lot more active on this forum but a lot has been happening in my life over the past few years and I haven't really found the time.
However, I've rediscovered the site and I'm back now so, hi again! :P

That's okay as your most honorably welcome to WrongPlanet and all of it's forums, members, and the entire community as a whole.

Thanks all. ^_^

To TheAP. I never did answer..
My hobbies include electronics and astronomy but my strongest interests (obsessions would be a better description) are synthesizers, '80s/retro tech, '80s electronic music, synthwave music and the '80s in general. :)

Hi wee_gary, do you have any favourite synths, sequencers or other kit from that era? I've had a good go on a lot of that kit! :)

Many. I currently have a Casio CZ-1000, Yamaha TQ-5, Linndrum, Simmons SDS9 drum kit and various effects units.
I also use the Cheetah SpecDrum and Ram Music Machine sampler on the ZX Spectrum and an Atari ST for MIDI control and sequencing.
I am currently after a Yamaha DX-7, a Korg Poly-800 and an Oberheim Cyclone arpeggiator.

My dream machines include the Jupiter-8 and Polymoog.

Nice.
I've used The CZ-1000, Poly 800, DX-7, Cheetah and Atari st from that list. People complain about programming the DX7 but it's fine. I had one and it really complimented the CZ-1000.
Do you have a CZ patch book?
