Newly diagnosed in California
I was just diagnosed this past week as being on the spectrum and I’m still wrapping my head around it. I’m here to learn and get advice and share my experience.
I grew up in a super small town, now live in a big city, cis-female, white, married to an NT for 5 years, no kids, work in an office, not many friends, and I love sci fi, history, dogs and nature.

I don't know much about California, except that it's ~1000 km south of British Columbia, it's part of the US, it gets a lot of massive earthquakes, it's always sunny and hot, and it seems a ton of people on this forum seem to come from there. Maybe it's because its population is greater than that of Canada, despite the fact it's much smaller.
OK, enough about my geographic knowledge...
... or lack thereof.
History isn't my main interest, yet I can say that I likely know more about US history than the average American knows about Canadian history.
I don't know a lot about sci-fi, sorry.
Dogs? Yep, they're good companions. Especially when sailing.
When it comes to nature, I live right in it. The population's only 24 where I live, with hills on one side, ocean on the other, and forest on the third.
