Hi, I am a 28 years old guy from Sweden with Asperger’s Syndrome.

I have for some years wondered if I have AS or not. I have always had problems with making friends and understanding social rules. But I have not felt even though I do not like sudden changes and I have had strong interests, that I have had the very strong insistence on routine and very narrow interests that is associated with AS. I also have no sensory issues.

But I finally went through a neuro-psychiatric evaluation one years ago on the recommendation of the psychologist I went to because of my problems with Burn-out and I got in the end an AS diagnosis.

I was motivated to join Wrongplanet because I have the last years because of my problems with making friends and my problems with burn-out not have had much social contact with the outside world besides my family. I also do not know any person with an AS- diagnosis in real life, so I thought it would be interesting to make some contact with other persons with AS diagnoses.

I have earlier studied Economics and Math at a University, but I have now because of my burn-out been forced to take a break from that.

My interests right now are geography, history, politics, reading books and learning languages. I also exercise a lot mainly cross-country skiing and ice skating in the winter and running and MTB the rest of the year. I was before also very interested in economics and math, but I have right now because of the burn-out no energy for it.

Also, I like to improv my English so feel free to correct grammatical errors or weird wordings.

I am not used to communicate in English with native English speakers. So I don’t really know how my English comes across.

Btw can Swedish people understand Norwegian and Danish? How about Icelandic?

How do Nordic people communicate with each other when you go to their countries?
