Hi I've recently been led to the conclusion I have had and masked aspergers for a large part of my life, from behaviours as a kid to recent events it has 'come out' under a series of traumas and from a professional point of view they are pushing me for assessment (gp, health services, cbt) to make it official.
I'm still working on doing this, but just want to say Hi and this crazy brain I have I want to keep and harness as I believe its a good thing,
I have worked on diagrams describing this condition to a high proximity, leading to aspergers, not derived from it as I went for weeks and months trying to work out why the heck I was finding myself in the positions I was in (off beaten track isolating unable to read people body language etc). After a series of traumas this behaviour got more pronounced.
I have self medicated (alchohol .. etc...) in the past and i realise now that this was a bad thing I want to get to know this other person I have.

For your user image; go to "My Account" at the top-right of the page, then in the left-hand side-bar choose "Edit Avatar". Then "Choose File" followed by "Submit". If it's a particularly large image, you might need to shrink it in an image editor first; but I'm not sure what the upper limit is. The image can be either from the web or from your PC/phone - the forum will make its own copy.

To include an image in a post, click the icon above the edit box that looks like a little mountain with the sun rising over it, and paste a link to the image into the dialog that pops up. To use your own images, you'll need to have them hosted on a cloud-storage site (e.g. Flickr, TinyPic, etc.) so that you can generate a link - you can't do it directly from a file on your computer or phone.
