Hello everyone!

I am new here. My 16-year-old daughter was just diagnosed with Asperger's. After years of struggle and frustration, we now know what we need to work with, which is fantastic. She has just one year left of high school and we really don't know how to navigate the next few months and years, but we're learning. I am learning many things about AS, including the fact that girls and women are underdiagnosed or misdiagnosed, which makes me feel grateful we got an accurate diagnosis right off the bat. Now we begin learning how she can be in this world and thrive as her beautiful self. However, I know I am going to need support, so here I am! I'm looking forward to getting to know you all :)

Karen

Welcome to WrongPlanet.

It was wise for you to post in the Parent's Section----more so than within the "General Autism" section. But I responded to you in the "General Autism" section, not knowing you had already written in the Parents' Section.
