i joined this forum on a whim. i'm hoping to learn about asd and to get to maybe talk about my experiences with it. hi, i'm a young woman, diagnosed with asperger's, and i'd like to list my interests but there's so many specific ones. i wish i could be into something useful but no, my brain just decides to get obsessed with, like, german secret societies from 1880-1930, or an obscure slovenian music group, for a few weeks until i move on  the more obscure my interest, the more fun i have trying to hunt for info about it on the internet!
i love these emojies :jester: so much  btw 8O lol
hello

Hi there!

Thank you so much!! ! For the experience I have just had of being able to not know that today I would read something with "German secret society" in it and what was even for fascinating was the date range...now I'm obsessed lol..no, really..I am...and then Slavian...great word that hooked me even before I read past Slavian.. so thanks...now I'm all excited haha.

Billowing...the obscure is a refuge from mediocrity...a beautiful gift for the curious who's kaleidoscope has many more colours and prisms..anyway, it's so bloody fascinating..most people can't understand it..you're lucky..

I'm a fellow obscurity topic fan...so more obscure the better..should we have an obscure topic off?? Lol...I am serious...I was fascinated by the "umbrella man" in the photos taken of the JFK assination that led me into the study of people who self admitted themselves into the NY Belleview Psychiatrtic hospital believing that they were like Jim Carey..in a version of the Tryeman show..they thought they were on a reality tv show.. no prior mental illness.. all professional financially well off people.. baffled the Doctors..anyway, umbrella man kicked of a few topics for me haha..

I guess mine border on just weird and unrelatabke lol Like I was fascinated with the old film "The 7th Seal"..about a guy who does a deal with death by playing a game of chess..should he win..he can't die..if he loses..Well, no spoiler alert ha.

I am fascinated with literature/film, mostly vintage, around this relationship.. man-death/man-devil...weird I know

Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and by your obscure interests.. you showed that you are no doubt highly intelligent, articulate and best of all, curious of this world. All great things came from people like that...mmm not those into umbrella man hahaha...

Have fun

:)))

Welcome,

I like obscure interests. I always like hearing about something I know little about from someone who lives and breathes their area of interest

wow that was interesting! i've heard about the umbrella guy and you're right: obscure things are the most interesting ones. there's so much in the world that we don't know.
you have an interesting way with words and your post sure put me in a good mood. have a great day, and luck with your investigations in obscure weirdness (and life in general)!
