No worries
If you want to reply to a specific post by another member you tap the grey quote button that’s with their picture, name and details.
And this is how it looks when you’ve typed in below
Various other features become available as you clock up your post count: a general guide can be found amongst the FAQ .
I think 35/6 is a relatively high AQ score for humans overall: I went through it online and got 45, for a reference my wife (NT) took it online as well for a comparison of how it comes out when not administered by a professional: she got 12.
The Aspie Quiz is, as far as I’m aware, an enthusiasts test which is not used in diagnosis: I got 161 ND/44 NT when I filled it out.
I don’t advertise these generally, and it’s not a competition: your self-administered scores give credence to your identification, and justify pursuing a formal diagnosis.
Thanks! I completely missed that button
Also I was surprised that you said your wife got a 12. I guess I didn't consider that some people will get an even lower score than me

Initially I thought I was possibly ASD (I didn't want to "push" it) and now I realize, I am not "possible" at all: I am. My initial scores were AQ 26 and RDOS 110 ASD / 100 NT. "Less" ASD than you. As I unmasked for myself and become self aware ("oh, look at all these stims, I had no idea") my scores increased. Now I score on average AQ 35 and RDOS 130 ASD / 95 NT. I was diagnosed "mild to moderate" ASD (despite not meeting threshold for ADOS-2).
I am still doubtful sometimes (I feel completely normal for myself), but relieved (I know I am not "normal" relative to others) --- so the diagnosis is nice to see "ah, I am different than most in this way and the same as some in this way".
Welcome!
Thank you for this reply!! Some of the questions are so hard because I'm not very aware of what things I do and how I act. I only know about it
while I'm doing it. I hope that made sense. I like "I am different than most in this way and same as some in this way"

There's alot to be said for being "different", even feeling different, whether or not you are on the autism spectrum... and I feel the main thing is in accepting that no matter what, you are You!
When it comes to autism... the dream is to grow up happy, loved, feeling confident, and to be able to live a fulfilling life. Having autism does not destroy those potentials; it only alters their course. It changes how things must be accomplished. It creates a fascinating, complex individual who stands out and is remembered, even for little things. Instead of trying to push a “normal” life upon a person with Autism, the goal should be re-evaluated. Those who are autistic will always be autistic. They will have unusual behaviours and distinctly different thought patterns. They will have their personal routines and rituals. They will always exist apart from the regular flow of life. This is a blessing and a type of freedom.
Hope you enjoy WP!
Thank you
I like this message too

Regarding the scores. If you are just starting to look into things to try to tell if you are on the spectrum or not, bear in mind that you may have traits that you don't realize you have. I joined this site thinking rhat I only had one possible trait, hence why I joined to ask. But since then, I have found out that I have many that I just did not realize were traits.
Maybe that will happen to me. I've already noticed some things I didn't know before in the past few weeks.
