Hi,

I've been wanting to learn more and talk about Asperger's/ASD partly to discern whether I should look into a diagnosis or what. I have diagnoses of ADHD, OCD, anxiety disorders, mild PTSD, have had depression at times, and issues with hoarding which I'm in the process of addressing. I'm very creative, nerdy, start a zillion projects, have trouble finishing them (the ADHD part I presume) - oh, and sensory things such as picky eating, smell sensitivity, only wear cotton fabrics, don't care for loud noises, lights that are too bright, and other things. I am on SSDI disability because with all the different issues I have it was getting impossible to find employment that didn't trigger one or another of them.

I have taken online tests for ASD, which I know are not the same thing as an official diagnosis - on those, I test on the cusp.

Also, some of my cousins on the maternal side are on the ASD spectrum.

I'm glad to be here! :D

Welcome to Wrong Planet :D. The other thing to consider is childhood problems: speech delay, etc.

Hi and a very warm welcome to you :). As Carl mentioned, childhood behaviour, even how you were as a baby, can highlight signs of autism. Quite a high percentage of those diagnosed ADHD show signs of autism as well. Good to have you with us.
