Hello - I'm new-ish here, having been away after official Aspie diagnosis: Though the diagnosis helped make sense of so much in the past, it's also made me wary of certain people and situations. So it's been good and bad :? :)

I was prompted back to this site after I saw a link on the BBC's website for a new "Sounds" series of "1800 Seconds on Autism". I like the way they've sprung into action to support us through lockdown/Covid-19.

Say hello. I like a chat.

Welcome (back) to WP! I was diagnosed in 2008 and it would have been great if it happened years before, as finally all the pieces of the cube slotted in place. I battled with PTSD for a year or two which eventually led to my diagnosis confirmation. Busy writing a lengthy book about it all!

I'm in several minority categories so always tend to defend the underdogs of life.

Yes. Hard lockdown but moving to level 4 on 1 May. I personally think its an overreaction to close down so much. They could allow all businesses to operate under the same hygiene guidelines as the supermarkets and pharmacies.

I'm glad you're back on here and will try to send you a PM sometime.

Hi Smudge - good to hear from you. Lovely sunny day in London today. Exercised on my bicycle for an hour while no one was around circa 6am this morning. How are you finding it?

Good evening and welcome

I am just West of London (Maidenhead) - still travelling to Lambeth and Croydon twice a week in connection with work. Lived in Hounslow for a while.

At the moment when I drive through I am quite surprised by how many people are out and about. Its the density of course.

Calm down! I'm not a man, I'm a woman. And because of this lockdown can't visit London at the moment.

Greetings and welcome back!

I’m quite far from London, but have in-laws in the south side of the river there. :)

Ever been up to the Horniman Museum?
I liked it (the instrument room and the little park mainly).

Hello Velorum - Yes, I'm not too far from Hounslow. I try to limit grocery shopping to once/twice a week, and usually very early in the morning. But today I went out at lunchtime. It was extremely quiet: More buses on the road than cars, and no passengers on the buses! Maidenhead's very pleasant. I sometimes cycle along back roads from London to Windsor. I'm enjoying the cleanliness of the air at present. You?

I know Hounslow because I have passed it on the overground Tube from Heathrow.

My wife’s son lives in Bromley, Southeast London.
