I love European history more then the history of the USA. I am fascinated with Poland and Japan. Major wars and weaponry used as well.

Polish history is super interesting. Winged hussars ftw.

I agree with you that European history is more interesting. For one thing its a lot more ancient, and the US is so young. I find it weird that Americans don't see it and think the whole world revolves around the US.

So do you, yourself, have roots in Poland and/or Japan? Is this how you became interested in these two countries?

No, I am Scottish, Swedish, German, Sioux (Native American) for my blood ancestry. I am American and I don't think that way. I lived in England for 10 years. I learned history form different perspectives. It made me curious about other countries. Poland is commonly ignored in history class in the US. I wanted to know more about Poland. My love of anime inspired my curiosity about Japan.

I don't see any replies from Winged hussars (Angels of Death). Did they delete them?

I was agreeing with funeralxempire that Winged hussars additionally known as angels of death are very interesting. I am guessing that is what he meant with ftw. For the win, correct? I made a spelling error. I am sorry.

Winged hussars, were one of the main types of Polish cavalry in Poland and in the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth between the 16th and 18th centuries.

I'm a history major too. I love European history including Polish history but American history also interests me because of how strange it is (and I say this as an American). I'm half-Polish and grew up hearing about Poland a lot even though I didn't learn about it in school.

Welcome to WP!

The locals seem like a nice group to me. And I'll leave the history discussions to them.

Whom are you referring by "locals", and why are you trying to exclude people?

I reckon he means regulars are the members of WP. I don't see how you could perceive that as exclusion.

If by regulars he meant *all* members of wrongplanet, then I don't see any informational content of that statement: one has to be a member in order to *physically* be able to submit a reply.

So he must have meant *some* members of wrongplanet. But if he meant *some* then this would be an exclusion of the rest.

There is no informational content to the contrary either so stop picking fights, I don't see what you get out of it.
