Welcome to WP. I think you'll find some nice folk here.
If you live somewhere that uses
DSM-5 then I am diagnosed as
Autism Spectrum Disorder, Level 1 (Mild). If you are somewhere that does not use DSM-5, then I am diagnosed as
Asperger's Syndrome. Please bear with me on the colors--I've been fooling around with computers since 1971 and I think they are fun toys.
When I decided to get a diagnosis a snag I ran into is there apparently isn't much call for Adult Autism Assessments. I focused on practices whose websites mentioned Autism and that they took patients my age (I was 64, at the time). The Office Manager at the practice I finally used didn't think they did Adult Autism Assessments but was wiling to double-check--it turns out one of their psychologists
would do the assessment (and did).
Good hunting!
Rainbow colours... one of the best ways to grind my gears! I'm colourblind, so there's lots of colours I can't distinguish, most famously green and orange. Makes finding flagging tape when hiking... interesting to say the least.
