Hi all! Call me hypostasis. I'm a 22 year old college grad from the usa. I have HFA/aspergers but I pass for "normal" in 90% of circumstances. Neurotypicals don't believe me when I tell them I have HFA. I only know neurotypicals. Lately I've been curious about meeting people with similar experiences and challenges as me. My special interests are computers, philosophy, spirituality and lots of other things. I want to explore and get outside my comfort zone. I'm open to talking to anyone with ASD 18-26 years old male or female. I mask heavily in social situations. It would be nice to meet others I can be my authentic self with and not have to mask. I discovered ASD later in life. Before I just thought I was an introvert. I don't relate to much of popular culture but I'm not an old soul either. PM me and make your own determination. I'm here to meet people.

I think you know what you need. You need more aspie friends, then you won't feel so much pressure to bend yourself so much to fit in which is exhausting and not good for your mental health if you do it too much. If you are in the US or UK I'm guessing a local autism group in your area is viable until the pandemic has improved? I was more than double you age when I was diagnosed as it's never too late tomeet your tribe. Welcome to Wrong Planet.

Welcome friend. I also like philosophy and spirituality, but beware of the politics, philosophy and religion forum on here, at least at first, just in case.

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I started using forums for autistic people partly because I also wanted to interact with people I didn't have to mask around as much. I think it's been very helpful for being more comfortable around others in general and that I find social interaction more fulfilling now.
