Hi!
I came to this site over 5 years ago when my youngest son was diagnosed with moderate to severe autism at age 3 and have been lurking ever since. I suspected I and other members of my family were on the spectrum but am only now coming to terms with it since I learned about masking and don’t know what my real personality is nor whether I’ve been forcing my son into a mold.

Hi and a very warm welcome to you . You are among many parents who realised they too were possibly on the spectrum, upon realising their young child was. Go gently on yourself and hopefully all will fall into place as time goes on. I remember the researching, the revelation ... things do get better as you hopefully make peace with past, present and future, with new understanding. Good to have you with us.
