Umm, hello I guess..

That's essentially it. Hello.

Just joined, officially diagnosed AS a while back.

About me and my interests? Well, I'm oooold (30's, but fighting back on the appearance front), female, read too much, like a good gallery exhibition or noisy rock band-I listen to and like diverse music.

I'm a bit macabre(if you didn't pick up on the EA Poe ref in the name), also latecomer to being a scientist, at times shallow- (yes I like the aesthetic value and history of clothes, try to have fabulous accessories and other such trite things, yet dont flash the flesh - because I am quite shy for someone with tattoos and piercings !). Currently a lazybones but used to do extreme sports. May start snowbarding again soon, time and pain threshold permitting.

Also a bit non-plussed as what to put and indeed if anyone cares:-)

30s isn't always old around here. There's people in their 60s and 70s here...which is still older than me...

I always give my daughters this advice.....(one is pushing toward 30, the other early twenties).....anyway.....the advice I give with emphasis and enthusiastic exclamation IS: Don't think you are old at thirty (or in your thirties) because you are still Y O U N G!! !! !! !! !! !! ! I made that 'defeatist' attitude of thinking thirties were old and I know now that I WAS WRONG. I'm not being 'bossy'......I just want you to realize that really, you are still young.....so you will enjoy it and appreciate it for what it is.

Sola (55).......I imagine me at eighty.....and how I'd think about 55 then
