I'm older than many, I suspect. I was "different" as a child in the '50s-'60s, but no one thought about autism because more subtle manifestations like Asperger's weren't recognized, & I was a girl--& girls didn't develop autism--or so it was thought. So: I was tentatively diagnosed in my early 50s, & more officially at 70!! I've had a long time trying to adapt to the NT world! This looks like an interesting site to hang out with folks different like me.

Welcome, glad you are with us. I am only 2 years behind you. Diagnosed at age 68, 70 now. There are many folks of our generation here. Great posts, great insights. Great place to hang out!
