Hi, im Gary, and this is the first time i've tried somthing like this but what the hey...

im from Northamptonshire in the UK, and im trying to get in touch with other guys and gals with Aspergers, partly so i can understand it better, partly to exchange notes and partly to make some friends, i have 'NT' friends but they find me hard to understand, and vice-versa so im hoping to meet people who understand and who i can understand. i hope this makes sense, but then i did say this is the first time i've tried somthing like this, :? .

i hope this works LOL.

Hi Gary. Welcome to Wrong Planet. I have Asperger's. Well, I shouldn't actually say that because I have High Functioning Autism too. I usually put it together as AS-HFA. I was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at age 2. I have improved over the years, so I have been AS-HFA for 5 years. My social skills are excellent. I have emotional problems sometimes. Not as much as I used to, so I am improving on that too. I am handling stress well. If it was emotional stress, 50% chance. I usually handle it by getting my mind on something else if I were at school. If I were at home I would lift weights. It is usually anger and sadness mixed together. I don't cry a lot with it. I am tough enough no to. If I cried, I would beat myself on the head ten times, or 20 push-ups for punishment.

Hey, and welcome to the Forums!....
I'm Sam, 19 and I live in the UK too...... But my Geography sucks, so I don't know how near Leicester is to Northamptonshire, so I'm not sure if that would be any use to you at all... But at anyrate, enjoy the time you spend here!

Suffolk is neither that close, nor that far away!

Welcome to WrongPlanet.

And yes, the greatest distance of all can be between two minds.

It's not dull at all! My dream is to sit at a desk all day and do calculus :P. And learn pi to 2,000 d.p.

I'm down in London, which is not too far off (comparing to America). But I'm still in secondary school, so no meeting up people from the internet for me!

Walking is good. Have you tried running? Its a wonderfully invigorating sport.
